Editor (TV, Branded, Promo) Husband. Dad. Data tamer. Kid wrangler.
I’m David Parke, a Los Angeles–based video editor with nearly two decades in post-production. My passion for editing began in my teens, when I was cutting skate videos on two VCRs before I even knew what “editing” was. That early curiosity grew into formal training in high school and college, internships at production companies, and my first network television experience on an NBC/Lionsgate series. After the 2008 writers’ strike, I transitioned into post-supervision and lead editorial roles at a boutique production company, before moving to Walt Disney Studios, where I advanced from assistant editor to cutting content for both Disney and Netflix. Most recently, I spent three and a half years at Persefoni, a climate-tech startup, where I helped build the brand’s visual identity through documentary, commercial, and corporate storytelling. Along the way, I’ve worked across nearly every editing platform and genre, from narrative shorts and broadcast series to branded content and award-winning documentaries. Today, as a freelance editor, I bring that range of experience to clients of all sizes, while balancing life in Los Angeles as a husband and father of two.
